Shadoe is an American producer, engineer, and artist who writes, produces, mixes, and masters everything he releases, moving through hip-hop, electronic music, post-punk, reggae, and dub. Born in Baltimore in 1989 and based in Florida, he's been making music since he was 12.
He studied under Bruce Swedien — the five-time Grammy winner behind Michael Jackson's Thriller. Countless conversations with Bruce and his wife, Bea, covered making records and engineering them, and whole sessions went into breaking down Shadoe's own songs to find what could be better. The advice that stuck with him most was simple: follow your heart.
His earlier albums amassed millions of streams, and 2022's "Party Time" — cut with actor Peter Dante and Ronnie King, the Death Row keyboardist who played on records for 2Pac, Snoop Dogg, and Mariah Carey — hit No. 3 on the iTunes reggae chart behind only Bob Marley and Ini Kamoze.
Then he deleted the entire catalog and started over.
The 2025 relaunch brought State of Static, followed by a steady run of singles — including "Kill Switch" with Twiztid's Jamie Madrox — machine titles from an artist who had just rebooted himself. He also DJs, with sets that pull from every genre. New collaborations are in motion.
